The “Morning Light” painting by Master Artist J. Charles captures a peaceful dawn at the Annisquam Harbor light in Gloucester, Massachusetts. Established in 1801, the original wooden lighthouse was replaced in 1897 with the current brick lighthouse. The wooden footbridge connects the light to the original keeper’s house that was built in 1801 and is still standing.
In 1987, the lighthouse was added to the National Register of Historic Places and is still used to house United States Coast Guard personnel who manage the historic light.
