The "Belle Isle Light" painting depicts the “Les Poulains Lighthouse” overlooking the Atlantic Ocean from Belle-Île island off the south coast of Brittany, France.
Built in 1899, the square 60 ft. lighthouse tower flashes a white light every 5 seconds. With a range of 23 miles the light can be seen as far as Ile de Groix, Lorient and Quiberon bay.
