The "Cove Light" painting by Master Artist J. Charles depicts the Peggys Cove Lighthouse overlooking the entrance of St. Margarets Bay in Nova Scotia.
The original lighthouse was built in 1868 and named after the mother of French explorer Samuel de Champlain. The current 50 ft. lighthouse was rebuilt in 1914 on the exposed granite outcrop.
